Challenges for FSM radio broadcasters

There are only two radio stations on Chuuk state in the Federated States of Micronesia, and one, the government owned, only operates from 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

But more than 51 percent of the FSM population live on Chuuk and the local meteorology office is hoping the government will increase radio services.

Johanes Berdon of the Chuuk met office told Moera Tuilaepa-Taylor that radio communications is one of a number of challanges.
