Maui fires exacerbates Hawaii's housing crisis

There are concerns in Hawaii of predatory land buying as recent wildfires have left many locals in dire financial straits.

The disaster has shed light on Hawaii's housing crisis. 

According to a report this year by Hawaii's Senate Housing Committee, an average of 14 thousand Hawaiians leave the state every year and over six thousand are homeless.
