A new initiative is providing Pasifika rugby players the chance to transition into management and decision-making positions.
The New Zealand Rugby Pasifika Strategy 2024-2029 is set to bridge the gap and enhance Pasifika rugby here in Aotearoa.
Only three percent of Rugby Board Directors in New Zealand rugby are of Pacific decent.
Seven percent are staff members, a sobering statistic compared to the fact that Pasifika make up the highest proportion of players in Aotearoa.
