Economic growth in the Pacific is predicted to lag behind other emerging markets, following the region's post-Covid-19 boom from the re-opening of international borders.

The Pacific Economic Update report from the World Bank says growth decelerated to 5.5 percent last year after a historically high rate of 9.1 percent in 2022.

It's expected to drop to 3.3 percent in 2025.
