Remote coaching for kiwi Paralympic athletes

From Afternoons, 1:27 pm on 6 September 2021

The Tokyo Paralympic games came to a close yesterday and Aotearoa had a huge showing on the medal table.

Kiwi athlete Danielle Aitchison picked up 2 running race medals. Silver in the in the 200m T36 and Bronze in the 100m T36.

Competing at this level is hard enough as it is, but Covid-19 restrictions this year meant that many athletes had to be coached remotely from New Zealand.

Alan McDonald is one of Danielle Aitchison's coaches and has been working overtime from Waikato to make sure athletes have everything they need on the biggest stage in the sporting world.
