The South Island Organ Company has been keeping the unique craft of organ building and restoration alive for 55 years and is still going strong.
Based in Washdyke, South Canterbury, the company combines the hands-on skills of wood, leather and metalwork with the specialised art of tuning, tone and musicality. John Hargraves joined the South Island Organ company in the 1960s and is now the managing director.
