Auckland teen terrified witnessing tree set on fire by lightning

An Auckland teenager was left shaking and terrified after lightning struck just metres from her bedroom window during a massive storm that rolled through Auckland this morning. Amy Buncuga lives in Blockhouse Bay and was woken by the thunder and lightning around 8.30. She managed to film the very scary moment that the lightning hit - causing a tree to catch on fire. She spoke to our reporter Nita Blake-Persen about what happened.
