Political parties consider changes to gun laws

Labour, New Zealand First and the Greens have agreed on a package for gun reforms, after a lengthy Cabinet meeting yesterday. A ban on military-style semi-automatics is on the table, as are changes ranging from tougher licensing rules, and a national register for individual weapons to tougher import regulations.
