The Prime Minister has managed to smooth things over with iwi leaders, despite concerns over what iwi say is a lack of influence in the government.

Jacinda Ardern met with the National Iwi Chairs Forum in Waitangi, where they agreed to work together to resolve concerns around state care, water, and Māori land.

It comes after an intense discussion yesterday that saw iwi leaders taking aim at the government.
