Another two-week wait for AUS-NZ travel bubble date

From Checkpoint, 5:06 pm on 22 March 2021

It will be another two weeks until the public will know when a trans-Tasman bubble will be put in place.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says there are a series of boxes to be ticked before an announcement can be made.

Among them: making sure plans are in place in case there is an outbreak here or there, and shoring up the contact tracing system.

The Prime Minister says she will make an announcement on the April 6, about when the bubble will be set up.

She says it is important everything is lined up on both sides of the Tasman.
