The new rail service between Hamilton and Papakura has been welcomed with much excitement today.
Two morning services will leave Hamilton in the early hours of the morning, and there are two trains making the return journey in the afternoon.

But with only about 10 minutes on the road left to Kirikiriroa Hamilton, it looks like reporter Louise Ternouth's car journey is significantly quicker. It is however a school holiday on Tuesday.
