Pfizer has confirmed another 1.5 million doses will arrive in New Zealand by the end of the August.
That's on top of the million being delivered over this month.
Starting on 30 July, the Vodafone events centre in Manukau will be ground zero for a vaccination blitz for students and staff from the tertiary institution MIT.
They're invited to bring whānau, with the goal of vaccinating 15,000 people over the three-day event.
The government's also announced from August all frontline border workers will be able to opt for a spit test for the virus rather than the more invasive nose swab.
But it's also issued the first batch of $300 fines to workers, who have repeatedly missed their compulsory Covid-19 tests.
Meanwhile the Australian state of Victoria - where the quarantine-free travel bubble is still operating - has today confirmed seven new community Covid-19 cases.

He says he is waiting on health officials who are talking to colleagues in Victoria, which recorded seven community Covid-19 cases today.
He says a pause on the Vic-NZ travel bubble is certainly possible.
"My message to New Zealanders there... if I was them I would be thinking can I withstand a pause? If there was a pause to be announced, would there be a massive problem for me?
"If the answer to that question is yes, then I would encourage them to think about coming home to New Zealand sooner rather than later."
