Time for reviews over - Oranga Tamariki Minister promises action

A report by the government-appointed advisory panel into Oranga Tamariki is being described as weak and not going far enough to prompt transformational change the Minister is promising to enforce.

The report has found Oranga Tamariki is not fit for purpose - and lacks vision and strategy.

The Minister for Children has accepted all of its recommendations.

But as our Māori News Director, Māni Dunlop reports, advocates say it is a missed opportunity and they can't be certain transformation will happen as a result.
