The Prime Minister visited Auckland for the first time since Delta arrived in the region, for a few hours on Wednesday.
The decision not to visit battling retailers, cafes and bars did not go down well with everyone, with some saying Jacinda Ardern probably did not get to feel the pulse of the city.
But Ardern has promised she will be back.
