National Party leader Christopher Luxon has become the fifth MP to test positive for Covid.
He says he feels fine, and will be isolating at home. Meanwhile after more than two years, Covid-19 has reached the remote Chatham Islands, 800 kilometres east of New Zealand's mainland.
The islands are home to around 600 residents - and two were confirmed as having the virus yesterday. Both are in isolation.
