A Boost for Vets and the Regions

Thirty two graduate vets will receive $55,000 over five years from the Voluntary Bonding Scheme for Veterinarians to help ease the shortage of veterinarians working with sheep, cows and working dogs.

Steve Penno, Director Investment Programmes at the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) says the scheme is designed to boost the number of graduate vets in hard-to-staff regions.
