NZDF to be deployed in Europe

As the invasion of Ukraine by Russia enters its 47th day the New Zealand Government has announced that more Defence Force personnel will be deployed to Europe to further support Ukraine. There will be a deployment of C-130 Hercules with 50 personnel, to Europe on Wednesday, along with logistics specialists being sent to Germany. New Zealand has also offered 13 million dollars in support to aid the Ukraine war effort with equipment. Ron Mark is the Former Defence Minister and served as a major in the Sultan's Special Forces in Oman in the 1990's.

The Hercules is prepared for its training mission. Whenuapai-based 40 Squadron is spending a fortnight at Ōhakea air base in Manawatū for to hone skills and precision in dropping supplies from aircraft.
