Islamic State has claimed responsibility for an attack on a military hospital in Kabul in which gunmen dressed as doctors battled Afghan security forces for several hours.
The group claimed responsibility through its news agency Amaq for the attack which killed at least thirty people and injured more than 50.
Kabul based journalist Bilal Sarwary has been at the site of the attack and told Morning Report the attack was the work of a new unit that specialises in using disguises to penetrate secure areas.
