Macron unveils diverse list of election candidates

The party of the French President elect Emmanuel Macron has unveiled a list of candidates for next month's parliamentary elections. Half the candidates are women but more than 200 have never held elected office. Our Paris correspondent, Hugh Schofield, says the list contains everyone from a famous French mathematician who has won the Fields prize, to France's only female bullfighter. "I think everyone is willing to give it a shot and nobody's being so cynical to say it's a total gimmick."
