Labour's housing plan 'unachievable' - Tradestaff
One of the country's biggest recruitment companies for construction workers says the new government's promise to build 10,000 houses a year is unachievable. The $2-billion KiwiBuild scheme has the goal of constructing 100,000 new houses for first-home buyers in the next decade. The building industry is already grappling with skills shortages, and the general manager of Tradestaff, Janice McNab, told RNZ reporter Tom Furley there's only so much work that can be done.
