Has Jacinda Ardern learned the lessons from Labour's mishandling of the foreshore and seabed, or will Ihumātao loosen her party's grip on the seven Māori seats?

Hundreds of people continue to occupy the whenua in Māngere to stop a special housing development from being built on ancestral land near Auckland airport.

On Friday, the Prime Minister vowed that no building would take place at Ihumātao while the government and other parties try to broker a solution.
