Potential harm from microplastics still unknown
A new World Health Organisation report has found that we're all consuming microplastics through our drinking water but the impact on the body is still not understood. Initial findings suggest the microplastics pose a low risk to human health. But the report warns that they have the potential to carry disease-causing bacteria and they may even help bacteria become resistant to antibiotics.
