Jami-Lee Ross ready to fight Luxon

Botany MP Jami-Lee Ross says it would be arrogant and cynical if National parachutes in a candidate to his electorate. Former Air New Zealand CEO Christopher Luxon has confirmed he's going to be putting his hat in the ring to stand as National's candidate in the Auckland electorate next year. But Mr Ross, who quit National in explosive fashion last year, says if Mr Luxon is selected, it would show that National is taking Botany for granted. He spoke to RNZ's political reporter Yvette McCullough about the prospect of facing off against Christopher Luxon next year, saying he's ready for a fierce, grassroots fight.
