Cancer Society responds to sunscreen issues

From Morning Report, 8:46 am on 21 November 2019

As we've been reporting this morning, for the second year in a row, a study's found many sunscreens do not offer the protection the label suggests.

Consumer New Zealand has been testing sunscreens and once again has found Cancer Society products among those falling well short of their claimed SPF50 rating.

This morning the Society announced it's pulling a batch of its "Everyday Very High Protection Sun Lotion SPF50+" expiring October 2021 from the shops because of Consumer's test results, which it says differs from its own.
