National Party foreign affairs spokesperson Simon Bridges says the Foreign Minister Winston Peters needs to talk directly to the UK government to ask for extensions for New Zealanders whose visas are expiring.
The UK's Home Office granted all overseas nationals an extension to their visas until 31 July, but despite the added months, many have found it near impossible to get back home.
Bridges says it's time Peters got involved personally.
