A leading energy research analyst doesn't think the government's team-up with investment company Blackrock will be 'game changer'.
The deal will launch a $2 billion dollar climate infrastructure fund - designed to help New Zealand become one of the first countries to reach 100 percent renewable energy.
However, BlackRock admits that for New Zealand to reach 100 percent renewable energy, the country will still need another $40 billion dollars put into it.
