The very first Moana Auckland festival begins Saturday in Tāmaki Makaurau, a month-long festival set up to celebrate the city of sail's love affair with the ocean.
A range of events and activities are planned, but some people may be wondering if Auckland is ready for a water-based festival after a number of beaches were classified as high risk to swim at earlier this summer, due to sewage overflows.
