It's that time of year where the kids are off to University, getting their first taste of independence, and hopefully not burning any furniture.
But as the cost of living continues to rise so does the cost of going to university.
Living away from home is also costly, with some halls of residence charging more than $23,000 a year, and that's without university fees.
Leonard Powell talked to first year uni students and a University boss about balancing the books.
