Labour has hit out at a government inquiry into the school property system, saying "National are choosing to prioritise tax cuts over classrooms for children."
The three-month review will look into building projects promised to hundreds of schools.
Twenty projects have already been paused and the Ministry of Education says up to 350 projects might need to be scaled down or scrapped.
