A housing support manager is delighted by the Government's commitment to move whānau with children out of emergency housing sooner.
Under the new plan, families who've been living in emergency accommodation for at least 12 weeks will jump to the top of the social housing wait list.
But the Opposition says the Government is simply planning to shift people from emergency housing into non-existent social housing.
