London's Globe Theatre, a replica of one of Shakespeare's early venues, has had a record year making a healthy surplus of over half a million New Zealand dollars. Not bad for a venture that had to get over a lot of hurdles to even be built almost two decades ago. One of the people who helped make the dream a reality was Dr. Diana Devlin.

She's Deputy Chair of the Shakespeare Globe Council, and also teaches acting at the respected Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London. Diana is also the granddaughter of actors Dame Sybil Thorndike and Sir Lewis Casson.

She's in New Zealand at the moment as an assessor for the Shakespeare Globe Globe Centre New Zealand University of Otago Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival.
