Are DIY coronavirus tests on the cards for New Zealand?

The United States announced that a $750 million deal to acquire 150 million rapid Covid-19 tests is a "game changer" for the country's response to the coronavirus. The antigen tests are said to generate results in about 15 minutes, without requiring any lab equipment. The Ministry of Health's chief science advisor Ian Town joins the show to discuss if New Zealand is looking at the possibility of rapid tests.
