A listener got in touch in light of Shane Jones comments and reminded us of former Otorohanga mayor Dale Williams' work in the town to get unemployed into jobs.

He asked what young people wanted and they said jobs. Dale got those young people into jobs, apprenticeships and training. He achieved zero unemployment in the area for a long time.

Dale is now a Porirua City Councillor after doing some world travel. He's running an initiative in Porirua called Youth 2 Work.

The Panel asks Dale Williams what he thinks about Shane Jones comments about his "ne'er-do-well nephews".
