Longitudinal Alzheimer's research

From The Panel, 4:46 pm on 19 October 2018

The results of a longitudinal study which started in 1960 is bearing some interesting fruit. Hundreds of thousands of U.S high school students took a test, as part of Project Talent. Now tens of thousands of esults have been compared with medical claims and medical records. Lower scores in 17 areas of cognitive ability correlate with developing Alzheimer's and related dementias. The Director of the Department of Geriatric Medicine at the Royal Adelaide Hospital Robert Prowse assesses some of the findings.
