Episode 234 features an interview with South African guitarist - Derek Gripper who has produced some of South Africa’s most extraordinary musical works by focusing his talents on compositions of master musicians such as Kora virtuosos Toumani and Diabate, Ballake Sissoko. Gripper discovered the ability to transcribe the dazzling polyrhythmic music of the West African Kora, note-for-note and then playing them on six-string nylon string guitar.
