Two men have been charged with indecent assault after two girls were attacked on Mt Maunganui Beach overnight.
Police said the two teenagers, both aged between 12 and 16, were approached by four men about 12.30am and assaulted on the beach between Pacific Avenue and Banks Avenue.
They said the girls flagged a passing patrol car to report the attack.
Two men, aged 21 and 24, were charged with indecent assault. Two other men were also being spoken to by police.
