One person has died after their vehicle crashed into a tree south of Rotorua this morning.

Emergency services are at the scene of the crash on Dun Road, near Kaingaroa Village.
The sole occupant of the vehicle died following the crash.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area and only one lane of Dun Road is open to traffic as the Serious Crash Unit is at the scene.
